JULY 26: In a continued effort to ensure inclusive development and strengthen social welfare outreach, the District Administration Rajouri, in collaboration with ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India), organized a comprehensive registration camp at the Dak Bungalow premises. The camp was specifically aimed at enrolling left-out Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and senior citizens who have not yet availed benefits under various government welfare schemes.

The initiative was inaugurated by District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson, Advocate Naseem Liaqat, who emphasized the administration’s commitment to empowering marginalized sections of society. In his address, he highlighted the importance of accessibility and social inclusion, underlining that equitable development is only possible when every citizen—regardless of age or ability—is given a fair opportunity to grow and thrive.

The registration drive was designed to bridge gaps in outreach and connect the unregistered beneficiaries with schemes aimed at improving their quality of life—ranging from mobility aids and assistive devices to pension benefits and medical support. Trained officials and representatives from ALIMCO were present on-site to assist applicants and ensure a smooth documentation process.

Local residents, social workers, and volunteers came together to support the noble cause, resulting in a positive turnout. Dozens of previously unregistered individuals were successfully enrolled, marking a significant step toward comprehensive coverage of welfare programs in the district.

Chairperson Naseem Liaqat appreciated the joint efforts of the administration and ALIMCO and urged continued coordination between government departments, NGOs, and the community to ensure that no one is left behind. He reiterated that such outreach camps are crucial for realizing the vision of an inclusive and caring society.

The event concluded with a strong message of unity and social responsibility, leaving behind a renewed sense of hope for many beneficiaries. Rajouri District continues to set an example in grassroots governance by prioritizing human dignity and inclusivity in every development initiative.
