AUG 31: The Ministry of Ayush is set to host a Departmental Summit on “National Ayush Mission and Capacity Building in States” on 3rd and 4th September 2025 at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Sarita Vihar, New Delhi. The summit will be presided over by Union Minister Shri Prataprao Jadhav, and aims to strengthen the implementation of the National Ayush Mission (NAM) by enhancing coordination and capacity across States and Union Territories.

This two-day summit marks the sixth and final thematic event under the series of capacity-building summits envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 4th Chief Secretaries’ Conference. The event will focus on grassroots-level inputs and feedback from States and UTs, with the goal of integrating **Ayush systems—Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa, and Homeopathy—**more effectively into public healthcare.

To guide discussions, six thematic sub-groups have been formed, each focusing on key areas:

  • Financial Management & Evaluation

  • HR & Organizational Reform

  • Integration with Modern Healthcare

  • Quality Assurance in Ayush Services

  • Ayush Medicine Procurement & Branding

  • IT-Enabled Digital Services

Each group includes 6–7 States/UTs, coordinated by designated Nodal States.

The summit will bring together senior officials from across India, including Principal Secretaries, Mission Directors, and Commissioners of Ayush. Esteemed experts such as Dr. V.K. Paul (NITI Aayog), Dr. V.M. Katoch, and Prof. Bhushan Patwardhan will also share insights.

This summit reaffirms the Centre’s commitment to mainstreaming Ayush and empowering States to deliver quality, integrated, and accessible healthcare services through the National Ayush Mission.
