SEP 02: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ms. Ayushi Sudan (IAS), visited Village Rakh Barotian to oversee relief distribution for families affected by recent rains. During the visit, she personally handed over ration supplies to tribal families who have been impacted and assured them of the district administration’s continued support in this challenging period.
The DC interacted with locals to understand their immediate needs and difficulties, listening to their concerns about damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and essential services. She directed officers accompanying her to conduct regular monitoring of affected households and ensure that timely relief reaches every family in need without delays.
Ms. Sudan emphasized that the district administration is committed to safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable communities and will make every effort to provide necessary assistance until normalcy is restored. She further assured that additional support measures, including rehabilitation and restoration of essential services, will be taken up in coordination with concerned departments.
The Deputy Commissioner also praised the resilience of the local population and urged officers to remain accessible to people, especially those in remote and tribal belts, where relief needs to be more proactive. She reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring no family is left behind during disaster response and recovery efforts.
Her visit brought confidence to the affected families, reinforcing the administration’s resolve to stand by communities facing hardships due to natural calamities.
