SEP 09: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today led the tributes to the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty during a recent encounter in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. In a solemn ceremony, the Chief Minister laid a wreath and paid homage to the fallen heroes, acknowledging their supreme sacrifice for the nation.
Expressing his profound grief and heartfelt condolences, the Chief Minister described the loss as irreparable, not only for the families of the martyrs but for the entire country. He lauded the soldiers’ exemplary courage, steadfast resolve, and ultimate act of bravery, stating that their contribution will forever be etched in the nation’s collective memory.
“These brave sons of the soil stood tall in the face of adversity and made the highest sacrifice to protect our people and sovereignty,” the Chief Minister said. “Their names will always be remembered with deep respect and unwavering gratitude.”
Reaffirming the Government’s commitment to the welfare of the families of the martyrs, Omar Abdullah assured that every possible support and assistance would be extended to them. He emphasized that caring for the families of those who lay down their lives in service to the nation remains a top priority for his administration.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, security personnel, and family members of the martyred soldiers, creating a moment of shared grief and national solidarity.
