SEP 13: Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has officially launched the second edition of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026, a nationwide platform empowering Indian youth to present their ideas directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Announced at a press conference in New Delhi, the event builds on the resounding success of the inaugural edition in 2025, which saw participation from over 30 lakh youth.
Dr. Mandaviya highlighted VBYLD as a true symbol of youth-led democracy, designed to channel the energy, ideas, and innovation of young Indians towards shaping a self-reliant and developed India (Viksit Bharat). He emphasized that this initiative is not a one-time event, but a continuous process nurturing youth leadership across the country.
The second edition introduces two new verticals — “Design for Bharat” and “Tech for Viksit Bharat – Hack for a Social Cause.” It also welcomes international youth for the first time, including 80 participants from the Know India Programme and 20 delegates from BIMSTEC nations.
The journey to VBYLD 2026 begins with a digital quiz from 1 September to 15 October 2025, followed by essay writing, state-level presentations, and culminates in the National Youth Festival in New Delhi from 10–12 January 2026. Over 3,000 youth will participate in the finale, including innovators, artists, and achievers.
Registrations for the quiz round are now live on mybharat.gov.in and mygov.in. Youth aged 15–29 are encouraged to join and contribute to building Viksit Bharat@2047.
