SEP 28: The Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect programme, organized under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, has successfully crossed the 50-campus milestone, reaching over 55 educational institutions since its launch on 17th September 2025. This initiative forms part of the nationwide Seva Pakhwada, commemorating the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and will continue until 2nd October 2025.
The programme is being conducted across 75 universities selected for their connection with the life and achievements of the Prime Minister. The institutions represent a balanced mix of rural, urban, and tribal educational centres, ensuring wide and inclusive participation of youth aged 15–25 years.
As part of the initiative, 75 Youth Icons, including state champions of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue (VBYLD) 2025, winners of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, NSS awardees, and National Youth Awardees, are leading sessions at their respective universities. These sessions include presentations on India’s growth story over the past 11 years, highlighting key achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and promoting the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
Interactive “Yuva Samvad” sessions encourage students to ask questions, share ideas, and engage directly with youth leaders, policymakers, and public representatives. The programme aims to empower the nation’s youth, familiarize them with India’s developmental roadmap, and inspire active contribution to the vision of a self-reliant and developed India by 2047.
Prominent universities hosting these sessions include Birsa Munda Tribal University (Gujarat), Swami Vivekananda University (West Bengal), Indian Maritime University (Tamil Nadu), Dhanamanjuri University (Manipur), Government Degree College (Kargil, Ladakh), and Sophia Girls College (Ajmer, Rajasthan), among others.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to youth engagement, skill development, and nation-building, while motivating students to play an active role in shaping India’s future.
