OCT 21:Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, has returned to New Delhi after a significant three-day visit to the Republic of Kalmykia, Russia, where he led the Indian delegation entrusted with bringing back the Holy Relics of Lord Buddha to India.
The visit marked the culmination of a week-long exposition of the sacred relics in Kalmykia, which drew devotees, scholars, and dignitaries from around the world. The event served as a symbol of the deep cultural and spiritual ties shared between India and Russia, rooted in the teachings of Lord Buddha.
Reflecting on the journey, LG Manoj Sinha expressed profound satisfaction at the successful conclusion of the exposition. He stated, “The Holy Relics of Lord Buddha are back home after a week-long exposition in Kalmykia, Russia. The exposition underscored our commitment to foster mutual understanding, build trust and cooperation, and create lasting connections through shared spiritual experiences.”
He further emphasized that the exposition deepened the spiritual bond between the two nations and highlighted the universal message of peace, mindfulness, and compassion taught by Lord Buddha. “While the Holy Relics are back home, Buddha’s enduring presence in Kalmykia will continue to guide seekers on their path to enlightenment,” he remarked.
The Lieutenant Governor lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the International Buddhist Confederation for organizing this historic cultural exchange that resonated deeply with followers of Buddhism worldwide.
