NOV 01: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) celebrated its 73rd Foundation Day at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in the presence of Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, alongside senior officers and officials from across the country.
On this occasion, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS) — EPFO’s training and capacity-building arm — was conferred with two Bhavishya Nidhi Awards 2025 for Best Achievement in Capacity Building and Special Initiative – Reimagining Governance: Discourse for Excellence (RGDE).
Launched on Good Governance Day 2023, the RGDE series promotes institutional learning and thought leadership by bringing together distinguished personalities from governance, policy, art, and culture. The platform has inspired reforms in training, ethics, and governance practices across EPFO. The award was jointly received by Shri Kumar Rohit, Director, PDUNASS, and Shri Uttam Prakash, RPFC-I.
PDUNASS also earned recognition for its outstanding work in capacity building, having trained 155 newly recruited Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFCs) through innovative learning modules such as ‘Design Thinking’ (with NID Ahmedabad) and ‘Compassion in Governance’ (with the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion).
During the event, the Union Minister launched a Coffee Table Book titled “Reimagining Governance: Discourse for Excellence” and inaugurated the EPFO Exhibition, showcasing PDUNASS publications and initiatives.
The celebration underscored EPFO’s commitment to ethical, innovative, and people-centric governance, reaffirming PDUNASS’s role as a national thought leader in social security administration and institutional excellence.
