Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, IT and Science & Technology, Satish Sharma, extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
In his message, the Minister highlighted the deep spiritual and cultural relevance of the festival, which marks the birth of Lord Ram, revered as a symbol of righteousness, duty, and ideal leadership. He noted that the life and teachings of Lord Ram continue to inspire humanity to follow the path of truth, justice, compassion, and humility.
Emphasizing the broader meaning of the festival, Satish Sharma said that Ram Navami goes beyond religious observance and represents timeless values that promote discipline, ethical conduct, and social harmony. He underlined that the concept of “Ram Rajya” stands as an ideal model of governance rooted in equality, justice, and welfare for all sections of society.
The Minister further stated that Jammu and Kashmir has always reflected a rich tradition of unity in diversity, where people from different communities have coexisted with mutual respect and understanding. Festivals like Ram Navami, he said, strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and reinforce the importance of communal harmony.
Calling for responsible celebrations, Satish Sharma urged citizens to observe the festival with devotion and simplicity while maintaining cleanliness and respect for public spaces.
