The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has reinforced its commitment to public service by organising voluntary blood donation drives, highlighting that its personnel not only protect lives through their duties but also contribute directly to saving lives through blood donation.

Director General of CISF Praveer Ranjan, IPS, led by example by personally donating blood, inspiring personnel to participate in the noble cause and support patients who require blood transfusions.

At a recent voluntary blood donation camp held at the CISF MPRTC in Behror, an impressive 885 units of blood were collected, reflecting the strong participation and commitment of CISF personnel towards humanitarian service.

The camp received valuable support from Dr. Sahini Tiwari, DIG/Director (Medical), and Dr. Dhananjaya Naik, DIG. Their contribution helped strengthen the initiative and promote awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.

CISF and AIIMS New Delhi Join Hands for Blood Donation

During 2026, CISF, in collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, organised two mega voluntary blood donation camps, collectively collecting 1,300 units of blood.

These initiatives underline the importance of institutional collaboration in supporting healthcare services and ensuring the availability of blood for patients in need. Voluntary blood donation plays a crucial role in emergency medical care, surgeries, trauma treatment and the management of several medical conditions.

The latest camp at CISF MPRTC, Behror, further demonstrated the force’s commitment to extending its service beyond its core security responsibilities.

A Commitment Beyond Security Duties

CISF personnel are entrusted with protecting critical infrastructure and safeguarding important establishments across the country. Through blood donation initiatives, the force also demonstrates its dedication to humanitarian service and community welfare.

The participation of senior leadership, particularly the personal example set by DG Praveer Ranjan, reinforces the message that voluntary blood donation is a shared social responsibility. Such initiatives can also encourage more citizens to come forward and donate blood regularly, subject to medical eligibility.

The collection of 885 units at Behror stands as a significant contribution to this life-saving effort. Together with the two mega camps conducted in collaboration with AIIMS New Delhi, the initiative highlights CISF’s continuing role in supporting public welfare.

The force’s efforts deserve appreciation for promoting the spirit of service, compassion and collective responsibility. By combining its commitment to national security with voluntary blood donation, CISF once again sends a powerful message: protecting lives is not limited to duty; it is also about helping others when they need it most.
