NOV 10:The Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated its 60th anniversary with the launch of the maiden BSF Marathon in Jammu, an event that drew enthusiastic participation from athletes and fitness enthusiasts across the country. The marathon was flagged off by DG BSF Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary, who commended the spirit of unity, discipline, and fitness showcased by participants.

The event, organized under the banner of #BSFMarathonJammu, was a grand celebration of the Force’s six decades of service, valor, and dedication to safeguarding India’s borders. Thousands of runners from different states, including BSF personnel, professional athletes, and civilians, joined the marathon, symbolizing the unity between the security forces and citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, DG BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary highlighted that the marathon was not only a celebration of the Force’s glorious journey but also a nationwide call for fitness, health awareness, and a drug-free lifestyle. He emphasized that sports and physical activity play a vital role in strengthening the youth and steering them away from the menace of drugs and social evils.
