Highlighting social sector initiatives, Mr Modi said the campaign to build new hostels for girl students in every district will significantly improve access to education and promote gender equity. He added that such measures reflect the government’s commitment to inclusive and equitable development.

The Prime Minister reiterated that agriculture, dairy, and fisheries continue to receive the highest priority. He pointed out that the budget includes focused measures for farmers engaged in the production of coconut, cashew, cocoa, and sandalwood, aimed at boosting rural incomes and strengthening agri-value chains.

Mr Modi concluded that the Union Budget 2026–27 is not merely a financial document, but a visionary blueprint that prepares India for sustained high growth, technological leadership, and social empowerment in the decades ahead.
