JAN 1 : As the New Year dawned with renewed hope and optimism, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir extended warm New Year greetings to the people of the Union Territory, wishing them peace, prosperity and good health. In his message, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the coming year would usher in fresh opportunities, collective harmony and sustained progress across all regions of J&K.
Reflecting on the spirit of the New Year, the Chief Minister said it is a time for renewal, reconciliation and reaffirmation of shared goals. He noted that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed important transitions and steady strides in governance, development and public welfare, and emphasized that the New Year should further strengthen the bonds of unity among people from diverse backgrounds.
The Chief Minister underlined that peace and stability remain the cornerstone for progress and prosperity. He expressed hope that the New Year would reinforce a culture of dialogue, mutual respect and coexistence, enabling communities to work together for a better future. Stressing the importance of inclusivity, he reiterated that development must reach every section of society, leaving no one behind.
Calling upon the youth to play a leading role in shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Minister described young people as the most valuable asset of the region. He urged them to channel their energy, creativity and talent towards constructive pursuits, innovation and nation-building. According to him, the aspirations of the youth, when aligned with peace and positive engagement, can transform Jammu and Kashmir into a hub of opportunity and growth.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s continued focus on transparent, accountable and people-centric governance. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening public service delivery, promoting economic development, enhancing infrastructure and expanding opportunities in education, skill development and employment. He noted that sustained progress requires active participation from citizens, institutions and civil society alike.
Acknowledging the resilience and determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Minister said their collective strength has always been the driving force behind the region’s cultural richness and social harmony. He called upon all sections of society to work together in fostering an atmosphere of trust, cooperation and shared responsibility.
In his New Year message, the Chief Minister further stressed the importance of maintaining peace and social harmony as essential prerequisites for long-term development. He urged citizens to reject negativity and division, and instead embrace values of unity, compassion and cooperation.
