Jan 29: CHADOORA: The Chief Minister today visited the recently damaged bridge over Doodhganga Nallah at Chadoora, accompanied by the Hon’ble MLA Chadoora, to assess the extent of damage and review the ongoing response measures on the ground.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister took stock of the situation and interacted with officials from the concerned departments. He directed them to expedite restoration works on a priority basis to minimise inconvenience to commuters and residents of the area. Emphasising the importance of public safety and connectivity, he instructed that all necessary technical and logistical measures be deployed to ensure the timely completion of the repair work.
The Chief Minister also stressed the need for putting in place viable alternative arrangements to facilitate smooth and hassle-free movement of the general public during the restoration period. He directed authorities to ensure proper traffic management, signage, and public information so that residents are adequately guided, and inconvenience is kept to a minimum.
Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the causes of the damage, the proposed restoration plan, and the estimated timeline for completion. They assured that men and machinery have been mobilised and work is being carried out in a coordinated manner to restore normal connectivity at the earliest.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to public welfare, the Chief Minister said that ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and timely restoration of essential infrastructure remains a top priority, especially in areas affected by damage due to natural factors. He also called for long-term measures to strengthen infrastructure resilience and prevent similar incidents in the future.
The visit underscored the administration’s proactive approach towards addressing public grievances and ensuring that essential infrastructure is restored swiftly for the benefit of the people.
