Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir:
Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday launched the Jammu & Kashmir chapter of the Dr Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce at the University of Jammu, marking a significant step towards promoting inclusive economic growth and entrepreneurship in the region.
The event brought together key stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and members of the business community to discuss opportunities for strengthening enterprise development, particularly among underrepresented sections of society.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singh emphasized the importance of empowering aspiring entrepreneurs through institutional support, mentorship, and access to resources. He highlighted that initiatives like the DACC chapter can play a vital role in fostering innovation and self-reliance.
Participants engaged in discussions on various aspects of business development, including startup support, skill development, financial inclusion, and market access. The platform aims to create an ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship and supports emerging businesses across Jammu & Kashmir.
Officials noted that the establishment of the DACC J&K chapter will provide new avenues for collaboration and capacity building, enabling individuals to transform ideas into sustainable enterprises.
The initiative aligns with broader efforts to strengthen the entrepreneurial landscape in the Union Territory and promote inclusive participation in economic activities.
