OCT 28: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has achieved a major milestone under its flagship youth engagement platform, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), which has now crossed 2 crore registrations. This accomplishment marks a defining moment in India’s youth-led journey toward the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31st October 2023, MY Bharat was introduced on National Unity Day to unite and empower India’s youth through a technology-driven, interactive platform. The initiative aims to connect young citizens between 15 and 29 years of age from both urban and rural regions, helping them to learn, serve, and lead through opportunities in volunteering, skill-building, and social innovation.
With over 16,000 youth club members and 60,000 institutional partners now part of the network, MY Bharat has emerged as one of India’s largest youth-centric digital ecosystems. It has facilitated the creation of more than 14.5 lakh volunteering opportunities, encouraging active participation in community development and nation-building activities.
Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, commended the milestone, stating, “Crossing 2 crore registrations is a proud moment for the nation. It reflects the enthusiasm, energy, and determination of India’s youth to take part in nation-building. MY Bharat has become the heartbeat of young India, where enthusiasm meets opportunity and service meets purpose.”
The success of MY Bharat highlights the growing commitment of India’s youth to shape the country’s future through innovation, leadership, and collective action.
