OCT 31: Vice-President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the Central Hall of Samvidhaan Sadan on his 150th birth anniversary. Senior leaders, including Shri Kiren Rijiju, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Shri Rahul Gandhi, and Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, also attended the ceremony.
As part of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, Shri Birla interacted with over 600 students during the “Know Your Leader” programme organized by PRIDE. He highlighted that Sardar Patel’s ideals of unity, discipline, and service continue to inspire India’s youth in building a Viksit Bharat. Shri Birla praised young Indians for their global achievements in AI, digital technology, green energy, and space research, emphasizing that their innovation and leadership reflect the strength of modern India.
He noted that the world views India as a beacon of hope, progress, and stability, crediting Sardar Patel’s visionary leadership for laying the foundations of national unity and administrative strength. Shri Birla reaffirmed that India’s youth will continue to shape global progress through innovation, science, and diplomacy.
