MARCH 5:The selection trials for the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Men’s Football Team, set to compete in the prestigious Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men’s National Football Championship 2025, commenced today at the Mini Stadium, Parade, Jammu. The trials are being held under the supervision of expert coaches from the J&K Sports Council to scout the most promising young talent in the region for the upcoming national championship.
The trials for the Jammu Division athletes will be conducted on March 4 and 5, after which the selection process will shift to the TRC Synthetic Football Turf in Srinagar for the Kashmir Division players on March 10, 11, and 12. The final selection trials will take place in Srinagar on March 17, 18, and 19, where shortlisted players from both divisions will compete under the guidance of expert coaches from the J&K Sports Council. This thorough selection process is designed to ensure that only the best players represent J&K at the national level.
Once the final team is selected, the chosen players will undergo an intensive coaching camp to hone their skills and prepare for the national championship. The training camp will focus on improving the players’ technical, physical, and tactical abilities to ensure they are well-prepared for the challenges ahead. The Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men’s National Football Championship is scheduled to take place in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, in April 2025.
