NOV 03: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has finalized arrangements for the Annual Class 10 examinations beginning November 3, with 994 examination centres established across the Kashmir Division and winter zone districts of Jammu Division.
According to a statement issued by JKBOSE, nearly 95,000 students will appear in the examination, scheduled daily from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Of these, 68,804 students are from 10 districts of Kashmir Division, while 25,224 belong to eight winter zone districts of Jammu Division. In addition, 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh will also write the exams.
The Board has made elaborate arrangements to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a fair, transparent, and orderly manner. Centre superintendents and supervisory staff have been deployed with clear instructions to uphold the integrity of the examination process.
To reinforce monitoring, vigilance squads will conduct random inspections across centres, ensuring compliance with all examination protocols. The squads have been directed to maintain politeness and professionalism while interacting with students.
Further, JKBOSE has requested district administrations to enforce restrictions under Section 163 of the BNSS to prevent any external interference during the exams.
In view of the declining temperatures, especially in hilly and remote areas, candidates have been advised to wear warm clothing to remain comfortable during the examination hours.
The Board reiterated its commitment to a smooth, disciplined, and student-friendly examination process across all centres.
