OCT 29:Chief Minister Omar Abdullah unveiled the official merchandise for the Kashmir Marathon 2025 at a special ceremony held at the Royal Springs Golf Course, Srinagar. The event marked a major milestone in the lead-up to the much-awaited marathon scheduled for November 2, as athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and sports lovers from across the country prepare to participate in one of India’s most scenic running events.
Speaking on the occasion, Omar Abdullah extended a warm invitation to runners and fitness enthusiasts to join the marathon, describing it as an opportunity to celebrate health, endurance, and the breathtaking beauty of Kashmir. He highlighted that the valley’s pleasant autumn weather, combined with its panoramic landscapes, makes it an ideal destination for long-distance running.
The Chief Minister emphasized that such sporting events not only promote physical fitness but also contribute to tourism and youth engagement in the region. “The Kashmir Marathon represents the spirit of unity, perseverance, and peace. It brings together people from different parts of the country to experience the valley’s charm in a unique and energetic way,” he said.
The official merchandise launch included a range of eco-friendly and stylish apparel designed for participants — featuring the marathon’s vibrant logo and the slogan promoting wellness and sustainability.
