7 May, 2026: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Shri Narsingh Dev Sanskrit Gurukul at Ghagwal, describing it as an important step toward promoting India’s cultural heritage and reviving the country’s ancient knowledge traditions.
The inauguration ceremony marked a significant milestone in efforts aimed at preserving and strengthening traditional Sanskrit education and Indian cultural values. Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized the importance of connecting younger generations with India’s rich intellectual and spiritual legacy.
During the event, LG Manoj Sinha also laid the foundation stone for several development works in the area, highlighting the administration’s focus on infrastructure growth and community welfare.
In another key initiative, the Lieutenant Governor dedicated the newly developed Nakshatra Park and Yoga Dhyan Kendra to the public. The facilities are expected to promote environmental awareness, wellness, and holistic living among residents and visitors.
Officials stated that the Sanskrit Gurukul will serve as a centre for learning and cultural preservation, encouraging students to study ancient scriptures, philosophy, and traditional Indian knowledge systems. The institution is expected to contribute to the revival of Sanskrit education in the region.
The Nakshatra Park has been designed to combine environmental education with cultural significance, while the Yoga Dhyan Kendra aims to encourage healthy lifestyles through meditation and yoga practices.
The Lieutenant Governor underlined that preserving cultural heritage and promoting spiritual education are essential for building a balanced and value-based society. He added that such institutions play a vital role in safeguarding India’s civilisational identity.
