The specialised seminar focused on advanced Waikairu and Mai Muay techniques, which form the foundation of traditional Muay Thai training. The programme aimed to enhance technical proficiency, discipline, and understanding of authentic Muay Thai practices among athletes and coaches.
The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Sahil Aggarwal, Chief Patron of MAJK, who attended as the Chief Guest. The technical sessions were guided by experienced coaches and officials, including Mr. Mohit Singh (National Judge/Coach), Mr. Surjeet Dogra (Coach), Mr. Abhimanyu Singh (Coach) and Mr. Neeraj Singh Manhas (Coach). Their hands-on demonstrations and in-depth explanations provided valuable insights into traditional Muay Thai techniques, footwork, defence, and ceremonial aspects of the sport.
Participants from different districts expressed appreciation for the advanced-level training, noting that such seminars help bridge the gap between basic learning and competitive excellence. The event also served as a platform for talent identification and fostering unity among Muay Thai practitioners across the Union Territory.

Officials of MAJK stated that the association remains committed to organising regular training camps, workshops and competitions to nurture young talent and elevate the standard of Muay Thai in Jammu and Kashmir. With growing interest among youth, initiatives like this seminar are expected to contribute significantly to the development of combat sports in the region.
The successful organisation of the Advanced Training Seminar reflects MAJK’s vision of promoting fitness, discipline and international sporting standards, while preparing athletes for higher-level competitions.
