OCT 02: The winners of the MY Bharat National Flag Quiz, after completing a historic and inspirational visit to Siachen, were warmly welcomed in New Delhi by the Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, on October 2, 2025.
A contingent of 25 young winners travelled to the Siachen Base Camp between September 26 and October 1, 2025. They interacted with Indian Army personnel, paid homage at war memorials, and witnessed first-hand the resilience and discipline required to safeguard the nation at the world’s highest and most challenging battlefield.
Sharing their experiences, the participants described the journey as a transformational milestone. One of the winners, Manas Mondal, expressed that he had learned the true meaning of discipline, tenacity, and camaraderie, vowing to carry these values into his life and spread them among his peers. Another youth highlighted that witnessing soldiers’ sacrifices had instilled a renewed sense of duty towards the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mandaviya congratulated the youth on their spirit of adventure and their embrace of values central to the MY Bharat initiative — Seva-Bhaav (service) and Kartavya Bodh (duty). He urged them to take their learnings and share them with fellow youth across the country, thereby multiplying the impact of their journey.
On the occasion, the participants also took an oath of service, national pride, and strength, pledging to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat by remaining active volunteers of MY Bharat.
The visit to Siachen, blending patriotism with experiential learning, not only honored the legacy of India’s soldiers but also empowered the youth to become ambassadors of resilience and responsibility.
