27 JAN : NEW DELHI: Members of the MYBharat–NSS Republic Day Contingent 2026 interacted with Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, marking an inspiring engagement focused on youth leadership, national service and nation-building. The interaction underscored the Government of India’s commitment to empowering young citizens as key drivers of India’s future.
Addressing the youth contingent, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is working towards creating one lakh youth leaders who are driven by purpose rather than politics. He emphasised that these leaders will play a transformative role in shaping India’s destiny through service, innovation and responsible citizenship.
The Union Minister urged the youth to develop a strong nation-first mindset and contribute actively to India’s progress. He highlighted that the strength of the country lies in its young population, whose energy, ideas and commitment can accelerate social transformation and inclusive development.
Speaking about the MYBharat platform, Mr Mandaviya said it has emerged as a powerful medium for channelising youth aspirations into constructive action. He noted that the platform provides opportunities for young people to participate in nation-building initiatives, community service, skill development programmes and leadership roles across sectors.
The MYBharat–NSS Republic Day Contingent, comprising enthusiastic volunteers from across the country, represents the spirit of service and unity in diversity. Their participation in Republic Day celebrations reflects the growing role of youth in upholding democratic values and national pride.
The interaction also provided an opportunity for the youth to share their experiences, ideas and aspirations with the Union Minister. Many participants expressed their commitment to social service and their desire to contribute meaningfully to India’s development journey.
