5 June: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has underscored the importance of national security, stating that the safety and security of the nation are fundamental prerequisites for achieving comprehensive development and long-term progress.

Addressing a public gathering, the Home Minister said that sustainable growth, economic advancement, and social development can only flourish in an environment where the country remains secure and stable. He emphasized that national security and development are closely interconnected and must progress together.

According to Shah, a secure nation creates the foundation for investment, infrastructure development, employment generation, and improved quality of life for citizens. He noted that governments can effectively implement welfare schemes and development programmes only when peace and stability prevail.

The Home Minister highlighted the Centre’s efforts to strengthen internal security, modernize security infrastructure, and enhance the capabilities of various law enforcement and security agencies.
