SEP 18: The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, is actively participating in the fortnight-long “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan” from 17 September to 2 October 2025, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in convergence with the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah. The campaign focuses on preventive healthcare, women’s health, and family well-being through activities across 160 ESI hospitals nationwide.
At ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad, the programme was inaugurated with activities dedicated to women’s health and preventive care. Health camps at industrial units like Shahi Export Pvt. Ltd. and Dhruv Global Ltd. provided screenings for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), tuberculosis, hypertension, diabetes, and anaemia. Specialised cancer awareness and screening, including oral, breast, and cervical examinations with Pap smear tests, were also conducted. Counselling sessions addressed menstrual hygiene, nutrition, vaccination, and lifestyle disorders. A blood donation camp further promoted voluntary blood donation, with donors felicitated for their contribution.
Meanwhile, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad, inaugurated its new 200-bedded hospital building with in-house camp services. The launch, presided over by Dr. Sourav Kumar Dutta, CTO, ESIC, and Shri Rajiv Lal, Regional Director, ESIC Hyderabad, marked a milestone in expanding quality healthcare for insured beneficiaries and the wider community. Activities included annual preventive health check-ups, blood donation drives, yoga sessions, pharmacovigilance awareness, and Swachhata pledges, reinforcing a holistic approach to wellness.
Through these initiatives, ESIC reaffirmed its commitment to comprehensive, affordable, and accessible healthcare. By focusing on early detection, preventive care, and community engagement, the campaign underscores the message that “a healthy woman is the foundation of a strong family”—making women’s health central to building a healthier and empowered society.
