Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Campaign from Ajmer, Rajasthan, and also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth approximately ₹17,000 crore across the state.
Addressing a large public gathering, the Prime Minister reiterated that the government remains committed to all-around development and empowering every section of society. The event also witnessed the distribution of appointment letters to more than 21,000 newly recruited youth, marking a significant step toward employment generation in Rajasthan.
HPV Vaccination Campaign: A Step Towards Empowering Nari Shakti
Launching the nationwide HPV vaccination campaign from Ajmer, the Prime Minister described the initiative as a transformative step toward safeguarding women’s health and empowering the nation’s Nari Shakti.
He emphasised that a healthy mother strengthens the entire family and society. “When a mother is healthy, the family remains capable of facing every crisis,” he said, highlighting the government’s commitment to women-centric policies.
The Prime Minister noted that the HPV vaccination drive represents a proactive approach to preventive healthcare, ensuring long-term protection for young girls and women across the country.
₹17,000 Crore Development Push Across Sectors
The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects spanning roads, electricity, water supply, health, and education sectors. These projects, collectively valued at around ₹17,000 crore, are expected to enhance public convenience and generate significant employment opportunities.
Highlighting Rajasthan’s progress under the “double-engine government,” he stated that the state has witnessed rapid development over the past two years. According to him, heritage preservation and infrastructure expansion are progressing simultaneously, strengthening Rajasthan’s economic and cultural foundations.
Focus on Women’s Dignity and Welfare
The Prime Minister detailed various initiatives aimed at improving women’s dignity and well-being. He cited mission-mode implementation of household toilets, sanitary pad distribution, and the Ujjwala Gas Scheme as examples of transformative interventions.
He also referred to the safe motherhood scheme under which ₹5,000 is deposited into the bank accounts of pregnant women to ensure nutritional support. These measures, he said, mark a shift from neglect to sensitivity in governance.
Infrastructure and Industrial Growth
Modern connectivity, driven by improved road, rail, and air infrastructure, is reshaping Rajasthan’s growth trajectory. The Prime Minister noted that enhanced connectivity is boosting tourism in regions such as Ajmer and Pushkar, thereby supporting local businesses, artisans, and service providers.
He also emphasised the strategic importance of infrastructure around the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, which is positioning Rajasthan as a major destination for global investment and industrial growth.
Interlinking Rivers for Farmer Prosperity
Addressing farmer concerns, the Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to river interlinking projects. He mentioned the modified Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal and Yamuna-Rajasthan link projects, which are expected to provide reliable water access to farmers in districts like Jhalawar, Baran, Kota, and Bundi.
He stated that these initiatives would significantly benefit Rajasthan’s agricultural sector and enhance water security in the region.
Solar Power Transforming Rajasthan’s Future
Highlighting Rajasthan’s abundant solar potential, the Prime Minister said that sunlight is becoming a major source of savings and income for common households.
Under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, financial assistance of ₹78,000 is provided for rooftop solar installations. More than 1.25 lakh families in Rajasthan have already benefited from the scheme, with many reporting near-zero electricity bills.
He described the scheme as one that has the power to transform Rajasthan’s destiny by reducing energy costs and promoting clean energy adoption.
India’s Rising Global Stature
The Prime Minister also referred to India’s growing global presence, mentioning the successful hosting of the world’s largest AI Summit in Delhi and international appreciation for India’s progress. He highlighted the valour of India’s armed forces and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to national security.
Vision: Developed Rajasthan, Developed India
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister reiterated the mantra of “Developed India from Developed Rajasthan.” He expressed confidence that sustained investment in infrastructure, healthcare, renewable energy, and youth empowerment would pave the way for a prosperous future for every family in the state.
The launch of the nationwide HPV vaccination campaign alongside major infrastructure projects in Ajmer marks a significant step in aligning public health initiatives with comprehensive development goals for Rajasthan and the nation.
