1 May : President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, highlighting the enduring relevance of Lord Buddha’s teachings of peace, compassion, and harmony.
In her message, President Murmu urged citizens to follow the path shown by Lord Buddha, emphasizing values such as non-violence, tolerance, and self-discipline. She noted that these principles are essential for building a just and harmonious society.
