13 June: NEW DELHI: Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the progress of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) recruitment process and ensure timely appointments across various categories in Indian Railways.
The meeting brought together senior officials from the Ministry of Railways and the Railway Recruitment Boards to review ongoing recruitment drives, examination schedules, candidate selection procedures, and measures aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in the hiring process.
During the review, the Minister emphasized the importance of conducting recruitment exercises in a fair, transparent, and time-bound manner. He directed officials to streamline procedures wherever necessary so that vacancies across the railway network can be filled without unnecessary delays.
Officials informed the Minister about the status of ongoing recruitment examinations and the steps being taken to expedite the processing of applications and results. Discussions also focused on leveraging technology to improve candidate services, examination management, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
Ashwini Vaishnaw reiterated that Indian Railways remains committed to providing equal opportunities to eligible candidates while maintaining the highest standards of integrity throughout the recruitment process.
