December 12: In a step towards strengthening participatory governance and responsive administration, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool, Imtiaz, today convened an extensive public grievances redressal camp at Femrote in Block Sangaldan.

The camp was organised to provide residents with a direct platform to voice their concerns, seek assistance and interact with government officials in an open and transparent environment. The initiative received an overwhelming response from the local population, reflecting strong public confidence in the grievance redressal mechanism of the Sub-Division Gool.

Strong Public Participation

A large number of residents from surrounding villages attended the camp and raised a wide range of civic and developmental issues. The high turnout highlighted the community’s eagerness to actively participate in governance and collaborate with the administration for resolution of long-pending concerns.

Issues related to road connectivity, electricity and water supply, healthcare services, agricultural support, welfare schemes and rural development were prominently raised during the interaction.

Multi-Departmental Presence Ensures On-Spot Redressal

To ensure effective and immediate responses, officers from multiple departments were present at the camp. These included Naib Tehsildar Sangaldan Mohammed Qayoom, BDO Sangaldan Mohammed Irfan, BMO Gool Dr. Mohammed Iqbal, CDPO Gool Bashir Ahmed Malik, along with representatives from Agriculture, Sericulture, Fisheries, Power Development Department, Health, ICDS, PWD, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Revenue, Rural Development and Jal Shakti Department.

The presence of a diverse departmental team enabled several grievances to be addressed on the spot, while others were carefully documented for early resolution and follow-up action.

Administration Reaffirms Commitment

Addressing the gathering, SDM Gool Imtiaz reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and timely service delivery. He assured the public that all genuine grievances would be addressed strictly in accordance with established norms.

The SDM further informed that necessary directions have already been issued to the concerned departments to ensure prompt follow-up and resolution of issues raised during the camp.

Outreach Camps to Continue

Emphasising inclusive governance, the SDM stated that such public outreach and grievance redressal camps will continue across the subdivision, particularly in remote and far-flung areas, to ensure that government services reach every doorstep.

He also appreciated the active participation of the locals and encouraged them to remain engaged with the administration for achieving better developmental outcomes.

Positive Conclusion

The event concluded on a positive note, with residents expressing satisfaction over the accessible platform provided and the administration’s proactive approach towards addressing public concerns.
