NOV 19:The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed an inspiring celebration of fitness and community engagement as the 3rd Jammu Midnight Marathon was held at the iconic M.A. Stadium, drawing more than 600 enthusiastic participants from various age groups and backgrounds. The event was jointly led by Minister for Youth Services & Sports, Satish Sharma, and Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, who flagged off the run and encouraged citizens to embrace a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Addressing the participants ahead of the marathon, Minister Sharma highlighted the commitment of the J&K administration towards strengthening the sports ecosystem across the Union Territory. He emphasized that such events not only promote physical well-being but also foster camaraderie, discipline and a renewed sense of community spirit among the youth. He reiterated that the government is consistently expanding sports infrastructure and opportunities to ensure increased participation at all levels.

Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani commended the overwhelming turnout, noting that the Midnight Marathon has quickly evolved into one of Jammu’s most anticipated fitness events. He applauded the enthusiasm displayed by runners of all ages, stating that the marathon reflects the region’s growing inclination towards health-oriented recreational activities. He also stressed the importance of integrating regular exercising habits into daily routines, especially for the younger generation.
