JANUARY 9: The Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Ramban under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary successfully organized an awareness program at Champa, Batote, in collaboration with SB RSETI Ramban and the District Industries Centre (DIC) Ramban. The event witnessed active participation from local aspiring entrepreneurs and trainees.
The program aimed to educate participants about various government schemes designed to support entrepreneurship.
Faculty member Rakesh Singh highlighted SB RSETI’s role in providing free skill training and entrepreneurship development programs to empower local youth. He encouraged participants to register for training programs at RSETI to enhance their skills and embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.
Field Officer Bansilal from DIC Ramban provided detailed insights into the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the newly launched PM Vishwakarma Scheme, emphasizing the financial and technical support available for artisans and micro-entrepreneurs.
District Officer KVIB Ramban, Farooq Ahmad Baba, elaborated on the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) and explained how the scheme supports rural youth and traditional artisans by providing financial assistance and subsidies to establish sustainable enterprises.
The program concluded with an interactive session where participants raised queries and received guidance on availing these schemes.
