This flagship initiative, launched under the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), is set to culminate in a grand finale at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai from May 1–4, 2025.

With registrations now closed for all 32 challenges, the competition has drawn more than 1,100 international participants. Finalists from 43 countries, including Argentina, Nepal, Germany, the United States, and Japan, will showcase their talents at Creatosphere—a curated platform highlighting innovation across animation, comics, AI, XR, gaming, music, and more. The winners will be honored with the prestigious ‘WAVES Creator Awards’ during a red carpet ceremony on Day 2 of the event.

In India, the challenges have seen enthusiastic participation from all 28 states and 8 Union Territories, underscoring the national reach of the initiative. The participants, predominantly in their 20s, include college students, early-career professionals, and teen innovators, with ages ranging from 12 to 66.

The Create in India Challenge celebrates grassroots innovation and diversity, with challenges spanning from education accessibility to reviving India’s textile legacy. This initiative embodies the vision of making WAVES a platform that reaches every home and heart, reinforcing India’s leadership in the global media and entertainment landscape.
