APRIL 29:
In a strategic initiative to enhance agricultural productivity and strengthen border area coordination, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma, reviewed the cooperative framework between local farmers and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel during his visit to border villages and Border Out Posts (BOPs) at Nursery and Tamwar in Ramgarh Tehsil.
The visit focused on converting unused agricultural land located between the border fencing and the zero line into productive use. This effort is expected to expand the cultivable land in the district significantly and uplift the economic conditions of border communities.
“Our farmers along the border display remarkable resilience,” said DC Sharma during an interaction with BSF officials and local farmers. “We are committed to supporting them by removing cultivation barriers through better coordination and specific support mechanisms.”
To this end, the Deputy Commissioner announced the formation of a dedicated task force to resolve irrigation issues, deliver technical agricultural guidance, and ensure smoother security protocols that do not hinder farming activities.
BSF officials welcomed the initiative, noting that increased agricultural activity contributes to both economic stability and enhanced vigilance in sensitive border zones. They reaffirmed their support for balancing national security with community development.
Key officials including ADC Samba Jagdish Singh, ACR Ajay Bharti, Tehsildar Ramgarh, BSF personnel, civil officers, and community leaders attended the review.
