May 18, 2025: Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth will head the Indian delegation at the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025), to be held in Langkawi, Malaysia, from May 20 to 24, 2025. This major event will highlight India’s growing role in regional and global defence collaboration.
An exclusive Indian Pavilion will be inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Seth at the venue, providing a platform for India’s public and private defence sector firms to demonstrate cutting-edge technologies and defence capabilities.
Indian Defence Sector Makes Strong Global Presence
Prominent Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) including Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Bharat Dynamics, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), BEML, and Gliders India, along with several private firms, will participate. Their exhibits will underline India’s progress in achieving self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
India’s participation will also include operational assets like a Dornier aircraft and an Indian Navy ship, showcasing India’s expanding maritime and aerospace footprint.
Bilateral Defence Talks with Malaysia
In addition to attending LIMA 2025, the Raksha Rajya Mantri will hold a bilateral meeting with Malaysia’s Defence Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin. Discussions are expected to focus on enhancing defence cooperation and implementing key elements of the India–Malaysia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, formalized during the Malaysian Prime Minister’s 2024 visit to India.
India and Malaysia maintain a broad-based relationship that includes significant collaboration in defence and security. This visit aims to reinforce that partnership through practical engagement and technology sharing.

The Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, held biennially since 1991, is considered one of the most influential defence expos in the Asia-Pacific region. It serves as a crucial platform for global dialogue, technology exchange, and strengthening strategic ties.
