JUNE 05: In a move to assess the standard of healthcare services and expedite ongoing improvements, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Government Medical College (GMC) and Super Speciality Hospital in Jammu. The visit aimed at evaluating patient care facilities, the functioning of specialized units, and the overall hygiene and infrastructure within the hospital premises.

Accompanied by senior health officials and hospital administrators, the Deputy CM visited critical departments including the cancer care and cardiac units. He interacted with doctors, nursing staff, and patients to get firsthand feedback on the services being provided. Particular attention was given to the availability of essential medical equipment, the efficiency of treatment protocols, and the condition of critical care infrastructure.

The inspection also included a review of cleanliness standards across wards and public areas, with directives issued for maintaining hygiene and sanitation in line with health guidelines.
