AUG 13: Union Minister of Steel and Heavy Industries Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy unveiled the official logo, brochure, and website for Bharat Steel at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The launch, attended by Secretary (Steel) Shri Sandeep Poundrik and senior ministry officials, marked a major milestone in preparations for India’s flagship international conference-cum-exhibition on the steel ecosystem.

The ceremony took place during a dedicated workshop for the secondary steel sector, underscoring the Government’s focus on growth, innovation, and sustainability across the entire steel value chain. Bharat Steel 2026 is scheduled to be held on 16–17 April 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event will serve as a premier platform to bring together global industry leaders, policymakers, technology providers, and investors, aiming to showcase India’s steel-making capabilities and promote green, sustainable manufacturing practices.

According to the Ministry of Steel, Bharat Steel will feature a wide range of activities including thematic sessions, sector-specific roundtables, state and country-focused discussions, a CEOs’ Conference, technology showcases, buyer-seller meets, and extensive participation from both primary and secondary steel sectors. The goal is to position Bharat Steel as the largest steel exhibition in India, with ambitions to gain international prominence.

Organisers have highlighted that the event will not only display the latest technological innovations but also explore opportunities to strengthen India’s role as a hub for global steel trade and investment. Sustainability, innovation, and collaboration will remain central themes, reflecting India’s commitment to balancing industrial growth with environmental responsibility.

Full participation details, event schedules, and registration guidelines are available on the newly launched official website https://bharat.steel.gov.in, which will serve as the primary information hub leading up to the April 2026 conference.
