SEP 07: On the holy occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the revered Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar and joined thousands of devotees in offering Maghrib Namaz (evening prayers). The shrine, a vital spiritual center in Jammu and Kashmir, holds the sacred Moy-e-Muqaddas—the Holy Relic of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)—which was displayed after prayers.
The Chief Minister, along with the gathered devotees, was blessed with a glimpse of the Holy Relic, a deeply significant moment that inspires spiritual reflection and devotion across the region. The Hazratbal Shrine, especially on this occasion, becomes a symbol of unity, peace, and reverence.
Also present on the occasion were former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq, who participated in the congregational prayers alongside the Chief Minister and devotees, marking a collective observance of faith and respect.
Speaking on the occasion, Omar Abdullah prayed for enduring peace, communal harmony, and the prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed hope that the occasion would serve as a reminder of the timeless teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which advocate compassion, tolerance, and selfless service to humanity.
The Chief Minister extended heartfelt Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi greetings to the people and urged them to embrace the Prophet’s (SAW) message as a guiding light in daily life. He emphasized that such teachings are more relevant than ever, especially in promoting unity and peaceful coexistence in society.
The event at Hazratbal reflected the deep-rooted spiritual traditions of the Valley and brought together people from all walks of life in a shared celebration of faith and devotion.
