SEP 14: The Ministry of Ayush has partnered with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the nationwide “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan”, a 16-day health campaign focused on improving women’s health and empowering families. The campaign aims to promote holistic wellness through preventive screenings, maternal care, and Ayush-based interventions.
In collaboration with State and UT governments, Ayush institutions, NGOs, industries, and Self-Help Groups, the initiative will host health camps offering screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), cancers, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease. It will also provide maternal and child healthcare services and raise awareness about nutrition, hygiene, and voluntary blood donation.
A key component of the campaign includes Ayush-based treatments for anaemia, NCDs, and PCOD, with additional focus on yoga, lifestyle counselling, and “Prakriti Pareekshan” (body constitution analysis). Dedicated kiosks will offer wellness guidance, while school programs, mass media outreach, and social media will help engage the wider public.
Communities will receive nutrition kits, herbal teas, and information on home remedies and medicinal plants. Ayurveda-based wellness sessions and yoga practices will also address corporate burnout and mental well-being.
At the grassroots level, Self-Help Groups will lead awareness rallies, pledge drives, and community mobilization activities, especially at the Panchayat level. The campaign aims to support women through all stages of life—from pregnancy to palliative care.
Each day of the campaign will focus on themes such as Anaemia-Free Women, Fit Mothers, Stress-Free Women, Herbal Nutrition, and Bone Health, with health tips shared via social media platforms to educate and empower women.
This collaborative effort reflects the government’s commitment to building healthier families and a stronger nation through the well-being of women.
