SEP 17: The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, organized a bike rally on September 17, 2025, as part of the upcoming celebrations for Ayurveda Day. The event was held under the theme “Ayurveda for People & Planet”, aiming to spread awareness about Ayurveda’s role in promoting both personal health and environmental sustainability.

The rally was flagged off by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director of AIIA, from the institute’s campus. The event saw participation from Heads of Departments, faculty members, postgraduate and Ph.D. scholars, and administrative staff. Former Director (I/C), Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajgopala, also attended the occasion.

Riders travelled from the AIIA campus to the Ministry of Ayush, carrying flags displaying the Ayurveda Day 2025 logo and theme. The rally served as a symbolic gesture of commitment toward preventive healthcare and ecological well-being.

In his address, Prof. (Dr.) Prajapati emphasized the importance of balance — a core principle of Ayurveda. He said, “This rally is not just about riding bikes, but about spreading a message. Ayurveda teaches us harmony — within ourselves and with nature. Through such initiatives, we hope to inspire more people to adopt Ayurvedic lifestyles.”

The rally also marked the countdown to Ayurveda Day, which will be observed on September 23. The date, aligned with the autumnal equinox, symbolizes balance in nature — reflecting the essence of Ayurveda.

The Ministry of Ayush and AIIA continue to organize awareness drives, public outreach events, and collaborations aimed at integrating Ayurveda into mainstream health practices and encouraging sustainable living.
