SEP 21:Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo, paid an official visit to Baramulla where he inaugurated the Sewa Parv Mela at the Dak Bungalow, marking a significant step in bringing government services closer to the people. The event showcased various departmental stalls offering on-the-spot services and vital information, reflecting the administration’s commitment to transparent and efficient governance.
During the event, Chief Secretary Dulloo handed over sanction letters under Mission YUVA, a youth empowerment initiative aimed at skill development and livelihood generation. He also distributed keys of retrofitted scooties to specially-abled persons, enabling greater mobility and dignity for differently-abled citizens. In addition, nutritional kits were provided to TB patients, reinforcing the government’s focus on health and nutrition under national health schemes.
Later, Atal Dulloo chaired a high-level review meeting on the developmental progress of Baramulla district. In the meeting, he emphasized the importance of achieving saturation in beneficiary-oriented schemes, ensuring that no eligible citizen is left out of welfare programs. He particularly highlighted the need for enhancing service delivery in critical sectors such as health, education, and social welfare.
The Chief Secretary also stressed the need for regular monitoring and evaluation of schemes to maximize impact and urged officials to adopt people-centric approaches for better governance outcomes.
Concluding his visit, he participated in a plantation drive, symbolizing the administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability and green development. His multi-sectoral engagement in Baramulla reflects a holistic development vision aimed at inclusive growth, grassroots empowerment, and improved governance across Jammu and Kashmir.
