OCT 21: Vice-President of India and Chairman, Rajya Sabha, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, visited various sections of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat at Parliament House today. The visit covered several important divisions, including the Table Office, Legislative Section, Question Branch, Members’ Salaries and Allowances Branch, Members’ Amenities Section, Bill Office, Notice Office, Lobby Office, and Reporters’ Branch.
During his interaction with officials and staff, the Vice-President extended warm Deepawali greetings and appreciated their crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the Upper House. He commended their professionalism and commitment, emphasizing that their coordinated efforts are vital for upholding the dignity and productivity of parliamentary proceedings.
Shri Radhakrishnan encouraged officers and staff to continue their work with dedication, discipline, and integrity, reaffirming their contribution to the effective functioning of India’s democratic institutions.
The visit served as an opportunity for the Vice-President to personally acknowledge the Secretariat’s tireless service to the nation and to inspire them to maintain excellence in all areas of parliamentary support and administration.
