Dec 29: Ahmedabad witnessed an unforgettable blend of culture, technology and inspiration with the grand presentation of “Namotsav”, a large-scale musical multimedia production celebrating the life, leadership and visionary journey of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Organised by Sanskardham, the three-day cultural extravaganza drew a houseful audience and stood out as a powerful tribute to a leader whose journey has inspired over 140 crore Indians.

The programme was inaugurated by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah, who described Namotsav as a depiction of a leader who, within just 11 years, inspired the nation to dream big and work collectively towards making India a leading global power by 2047. He highlighted that such transformational leadership is possible only when a person dedicates their entire life to a national mission and builds a committed team that shares the same vision.

From Vadnagar to National Leadership

Namotsav artistically traced Prime Minister Modi’s inspiring life journey—from his humble beginnings in Vadnagar, Gujarat, to his transformative role as Chief Minister of Gujarat, and later as the Prime Minister of India. Through a seamless fusion of live performances, music, dance, narration and cutting-edge multimedia visuals, the production brought alive defining milestones of his personal and political journey.

The narrative highlighted how values of discipline, perseverance and service shaped his leadership style, while also showcasing how governance reforms and development initiatives laid the foundation for India’s modern growth story.

A Visual and Artistic Spectacle

One of the major highlights of Namotsav was its breathtaking stagecraft. With more than 150 artists performing, the show offered a stunning aerial and panoramic visual experience, blending traditional art forms with modern technology. Carefully choreographed acts depicted landmark moments of governance, infrastructure development, social empowerment and inclusive growth.

The programme recalled the Gujarat Model of development, emphasising how initiatives undertaken during Shri Modi’s tenure as Chief Minister later evolved into a national blueprint for transparency, accountability and citizen-centric governance.

Cultural Expression Meets Public Outreach

The event attracted eminent dignitaries, cultural practitioners, spiritual leaders, artists, scholars and citizens from diverse walks of life, reflecting the wide resonance of the programme. The overwhelming public participation reaffirmed the deep connection between cultural expression and collective national consciousness.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, through its Publications Division, Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) and PIB, played an active role in disseminating information about the Prime Minister’s life and work. A dedicated book stall showcased around 14 prominent titles, including Letters to Mother, The Modi Story, Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery, Igniting Collective Goodness – Mann Ki Baat @100 and other notable publications.

These books offered visitors deeper insights into Prime Minister Modi’s leadership philosophy, governance vision and public service journey. The stall drew significant interest from students, researchers and general audiences alike.

Celebrating Leadership Through Culture

Senior officials including CEO Prasar Bharati Shri Gaurav Dwivedi, DG PIB Shri Dhirendra Ojha, and ADG PIB Ahmedabad Shri Prashant Pathrabe visited the exhibition and appreciated the effort to preserve contemporary history through literature and cultural platforms.

Overall, Namotsav emerged not merely as a cultural event, but as a celebration of India’s democratic ethos, developmental aspirations and cultural richness. By blending storytelling with artistic excellence, the programme reinforced the idea that transformational leadership, rooted in humility and service, can inspire generations and shape the destiny of a nation.
