Devotees have gathered at temples across Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad to participate in prayers and morning aartis. Religious venues have been prepared for large gatherings as devotees come together to observe the festival with faith and enthusiasm.
Major Temples Prepare for Celebrations
Several prominent temples in the capital are expected to witness festive activities throughout the day.
Celebrations are being held at Birla Temple, ISKCON temples in East of Kailash and Punjabi Bagh, as well as ISKCON Dwarkadheesh Temple in Dwarka. Special decorations, devotional programmes and religious ceremonies are adding to the festive atmosphere.

Traffic Advisory Issued in Delhi
With large crowds expected at major religious venues, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued advisories for commuters.
People have been advised to avoid Bhagwan Mahavir Marg and connecting roads between Madhuban Chowk and the Heliport because of expected congestion linked to Janmashtami celebrations at the ISKCON Temple, Ramlila Ground and Japanese Park in Rohini.
Heavy pedestrian movement is also expected around the Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham Temple in Narela.
Commuters have further been advised to exercise caution around GT Karnal Road and Ghanta Ghar Chowk, where processions are scheduled to take place.
