DC, SSP Doda meet students from Maharashtra; Say District is peaceful and naturally appealing

DODA, FEBRUARY 22: A group of six students from Chanakya Mandal Parivar, Pune (Maharashtra), on a study tour to the district Doda today met Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan and SSP Abdul Qayoom here in the DC Office Complex .

 

The students had a detailed interaction and discussion on the issues pertaining to administrative matters, militancy, drug menace, crime, women related issues, natural and man-made disasters, post 370 situation in the UT/ District, Education in Government/ Private schools, economic activities in the district, job opportunities for the youth etc.

 

The DC and SSP responded to their queries in full detail. The DC also elaborated on special initiatives taken by the UT Administration and District Administration in providing quality services and better governance in effective, transparent, efficient, and time bound manner to its citizens.

 

The students expressed their gratitude to the district administration for its cooperation. The student conveyed that the narrative/ perception they had towards UT of J&K has changed after visiting here, seeing peace, mesmerising natural beauty, and developmental activities being carried out by the Government.

 

The DC urged the students to become ambassadors of the district and tell others that UT of J&K and District Doda, is as peaceful as other parts of the country. The world needs to know that the UT and District Doda have a unique heavenly charm, attraction and appeal and everyone must visit here and adore nature at its best, he added.
