JUNE 22: In a significant push for regional infrastructure development, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a 50-meter span steel trussed girder bridge over the Nallah Sindh at Gadoora in Ganderbal district. The bridge, to be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹7.56 crore, is poised to play a vital role in improving connectivity and ease of travel for local residents.
The proposed bridge, designed to be structurally robust with a steel truss girder configuration, will serve as a crucial link between several habitations in the area, easing the movement of people and goods across the Nallah Sindh. Officials stated that once completed, the bridge will reduce travel time and facilitate better access to essential services such as education, healthcare, and markets.
During the foundation stone laying ceremony, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to upgrading rural infrastructure and enhancing inter-village connectivity. “This bridge is not just a structure of steel; it represents our vision for inclusive growth and the creation of reliable transport networks in remote areas,” the CM stated.
The project is expected to generate employment during its construction phase and promote socio-economic development in Gadoora and surrounding regions.
