Chennai, August 21, 2026: The Government of India has signed a $230 million loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support the modernisation of water supply and sanitation infrastructure in Chennai.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening essential urban services in the city and improving access to reliable, efficient and sustainable water and sanitation facilities for residents.
