OCT 11:Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, addressed athletes at the 10th All India Police Judo Cluster 2025, commending the J&K Police for their exemplary role in maintaining law and order in the region. He emphasized that the force’s relentless efforts in counter-terrorism and dismantling extremism have paved the way for peace and socio-economic development across the Union Territory.
During his address, the LG underlined the importance of sports as a transformative tool for youth development. He highlighted how disciplines like judo foster unity, courage, resilience, and inclusivity among young people, enabling them to channel their energy into positive avenues. “Sports build character and strengthen the spirit of teamwork,” he noted, stressing that engagement in athletic pursuits promotes social harmony and a sense of national pride.
Shri Sinha praised the dedication and discipline of athletes participating in the judo cluster, observing that such national-level events not only enhance physical fitness but also cultivate leadership qualities and a spirit of fair competition. He encouraged young participants to draw inspiration from the values learned through sports to contribute meaningfully to society and uphold principles of justice and integrity.
The Lieutenant Governor further acknowledged the J&K Police for balancing their critical security responsibilities with initiatives that encourage sports and youth engagement.
