NOV 17: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, on Saturday visited several neighbourhoods affected by the tragic explosion at Nowgam Police Station. The incident, which claimed multiple lives and left several injured, has deeply shaken the communities of Nowgam, Natipora, Soibug, and Bemina. During his visit, Wani met the bereaved families and extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the government, assuring them of full support during this difficult period.
He spoke to the families individually, acknowledging their immense grief and reaffirming that the administration stands firmly with them. Wani emphasized that every possible measure will be taken to assist the affected households, including the facilitation of relief and necessary official support.
Later in the day, the Advisor visited the hospital where the injured victims are undergoing treatment. He interacted with the patients, enquired about their condition, and expressed solidarity with them and their families. He also reviewed the medical arrangements put in place for their recovery.
Wani instructed the hospital administration and health authorities to ensure the highest standard of medical care, directing them to maintain close supervision and provide all required medical interventions without delay. He stressed that the wellbeing of the injured is a top priority for the government and that no effort should be spared in ensuring their full recovery.
He further appreciated the efforts of the medical staff, emergency responders, and police personnel who acted swiftly following the explosion. The Advisor reiterated that the government remains committed to supporting the victims, restoring normalcy, and ensuring that affected communities receive timely and comprehensive assistance.
