February 27: In a grand ceremony held during the National Arogya Fair 2026, eminent Vaidyas associated with Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV) were conferred with the prestigious Jeevan Gaurav Samman and Ayurveda Gaurav Samman for their outstanding contributions to Ayurveda.
The four-day event (February 25–28), organized by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, in association with the Akhil Bhartiya Ayurved Mahasammelan, was held at Shegaon in Buldhana district of Maharashtra.
The honours were conferred by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, in the august presence of Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Maharashtra; Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush & Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare; and Padma Shri Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush.

The Jeevan Gaurav Samman was conferred upon Devendra Triguna, recipient of Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, President of RAV and President of the All India Ayurved Mahasammelan Trust. The award recognizes his lifelong dedication to the promotion and global propagation of Ayurveda.

Ayurveda, one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems, continues to gain recognition for its preventive and wellness-based approach. The awards celebrated individuals who have contributed to research, education, clinical practice, and policy-making in the field.
On behalf of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Director Vandana Siroha extended heartfelt congratulations to all awardees for receiving national recognition from the President of India.
